In Birmingham, the city's 75th National Veterans Day celebration begins at 11 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2022, downtown. For details, click here.
Military Tribute Days
The Department of Veterans Affairs and Veterans Affairs will host a Veterans Day event in Anchorage, Alaska, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 11, at the Alaska National Guard's armory at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. Members of the public must obtain a visitor card from the Visitor Control Center until they register November 8-10 by calling (907) 552-6910 between the hours of 8-11 a.m. and noon-4 p.m. For general information about the event, call (907) 334-0874.
Veterans Day 2023
Veterans Day events in Little Rock, Arkansas, begin at 10 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2022, at the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas History. Click here for details
About 45,000 are expected to attend the Phoenix Military Day Parade on Friday, November 11, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The walk starts at Montebello and Central and heads south, then turns East on Camelback Road, then turns South on 7th Street. Click here for details
The 2022 Veterans Day Parade in Prescott, Arizona will be downtown on Friday, November 11, 2022, with opening ceremonies beginning at 10:30 a.m. Cortez theater and Union streets. The show will start at 11 am Click here for details
The Hall of Heroes at the OC Costa Mesa Exhibition & Event Center will host a community celebration on Saturday, November 12. 2022, to recognize the contributions of veterans. The event will feature music and children's activities from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The project will feature new sidewalks, benches, lighting and landscaping, including special gardens honoring Purple Heart recipients. The event is free, in collaboration with the Balai Pahlawan Veteran Foundation. Click here for details
Veterans Day Poems For Our Heroes To Send In 2023
Lincoln/Sheridan, California, Veterans Day Ceremony hosted by American Legion Post 264 and VFW Post 3010 will take place on Friday, November 11, 2022, at four cemeteries: Sheridan, Manzanita, Lincoln and Santa Clara Memorial Park. Honorary Color Guards and Rifle Teams will begin the day's events by visiting veterans' graves at each cemetery. Services will be held at each location to remember those who served. The schedule starts at 9 a.m. in Sheridan, 10 a.m. in Manzanita, and 11:30 a.m. in Lincoln; and the ceremony ends at Santa Clara Memorial Park. The largest ceremony was held at Lincoln's First Street Cemetery, attended by dignitaries and national singers. For details, see the Facebook event.
After a two-year hiatus, the San Fernando Valley Veterans Day Parade in Los Angeles will begin at 11:11 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2022. The parade begins at Laurel Canyon Boulevard and San Fernando Mission Boulevard in Mission Hills, then continues south on Laurel Canyon Boulevard for 1.1 miles to end at Paxton Road in Pacoima. The grand marshal is US Army Master Sgt. Charles O. Green. Carnival is also scheduled for Friday through Sunday, November 11-13, from 2-10 p.m. Every day. For details, click here.
The San Diego Veterans Day parade takes place from 10 a.m.-noon on Friday, November 11. 2022, in the downtown Embarcadero neighborhood, with more than 4,000 veterans, active duty, marching bands, gloats and civilian groups. For details, click here.

Memorial Day Vs. Veterans Day: What's The Difference?
The city of San Jose, California, will host its 104th consecutive Veterans Day parade downtown on Friday, November 11, 2022, honoring those who have served in the United States armed forces. The event runs from 11 am to 2 pm starting near Santa Clara Street/Highway 87. For more information, please visit the United Veterans Council of Santa Clara website.
The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, will host its annual Veterans Day Event on Friday, November 11, 2022, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Activities include an honor guard, live music and speeches by keynote speakers and US Army veterans. Brad Taylor, retired Special Forces Lieutenant Colonel and current best-selling author of the Pike Logan series. Outdoor events and programs are free, but reservations are recommended to attend these programs. For details, click here. Separately on Friday, November 11, the library's special exhibit, An American Christmas Story, opens. Veterans with valid ID will receive free admission to the museum on the day. In Fruita, a West Slope Vietnam War Memorial celebration will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022, from 11 a.m.-noon. The focus of the Western Slope Vietnam War Memorial is to honor those who served, both at home and abroad and especially those who were killed, disabled, missing or captured.
In Montville, Connecticut, a Vets Rock event is scheduled for 1:30-6 p.m. Friday, November 11 2022, Mohegan Sun Resort. After the opening ceremony from 1:30-2 p.m., the Vets Rock Expo will be held from 2-6 p.m. in the Uncas Ballroom. Indian Army Day: Indian Celebrities Pay Tribute To The Soldiers
The City of New Haven's Veterans Day event is scheduled for 11 a.m.-noon on Friday, November 11, 2022, at City Hall, 165 Church Street. Former Army Captain and Yale Veterans Association President Adrian Bonemberger will be the keynote speaker. Later, memorial wreaths will be laid at the World War Green Memorial and Veterans Memorial on Long Wharf Drive. More details are available here.
The Jacksonville, Florida Veterans Day Parade, one of the largest in the Southeast, begins at 11:01 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2022, downtown. The event includes grand marshals, senior officers, retirees and retirees, veterans groups, high school marching bands, decorative floats, giant balloons, JROTC units and more. Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and his Veterans Advisory Council will honor the brave men and women of the armed forces at the 23rd annual Orlando Veterans Day Parade downtown from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2022 (HOL) — This year's parade will honor the people who fought for our country's freedom led by Mayor Dyer and local veterans. The theme of the parade is to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Women's Auxiliary Army Corps (WAACs) and Women Accepted Volunteer Emergency Services (WAVEs). The Wellington, Florida Veterans Day Parade & Ceremony begins at 8:15 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2022, at the Wellington Patriot Memorial. The city, along with American Legion Post 390 - Wellington will honor current and former members of the armed forces. Veterans are invited to march in the parade starting at 8:15 a.m. at Wellington Village Hall, 12300 Forest Hill Boulevard. Army: Infantry Day: 75 Years Of Historic Indian Army Landing At Srinagar Airfield
The Veterans Day Association will present the 41st Annual Veterans Day Parade and Memorial at the Atlanta Battery from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, November 12 2022. The tribute begins at noon at the Georgia Power Pavilion Theater with veterans speaking and a performance from the 116th Military Band. The entire show will take place around Truist Park and the Atlanta Battery. Click here for details
In Honolulu, a Veterans Day Ceremony is scheduled for noon-1pm Friday, November 11 2022, at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at 2177 Puowaina Drive. The Oahu Veterans Council is sponsoring the event, which is expected to draw 600 people. The guest is from the US Marine Corps. in the Pacific.
The Pearl Harbor Veterans Day Sunset Ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m. Friday, November 11 2022, in Honolulu aboard the Battleship Missouri Memorial, with a special tribute to the legacy of Senator Daniel K. Inouye, as well as the 160th anniversary of the Medal of Honor. Click here for details
The public is invited to attend Meridian's Veterans Day Ceremony from 11-11:45 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2022, at the Stone of Honor Veterans Memorial in Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park. Seating is limited at this outdoor event, so consider bringing a folding chair or blanket. Presented by Meridian's American Legion Post 113, VFW Post 4000, and the City of Meridian.
